July is mid-winter. Expect dry, sunny days around 21°C and evenings around 10°C. Bring a jacket for the evenings. Rain is uncommon but not impossible.

Brisbane is UTC+10 year round. Queensland does not observe daylight saving, so in July it is one hour behind Sydney and Melbourne.
Money
The currency is the Australian dollar. Cards are accepted almost everywhere and many venues no longer take cash at all. Tipping is not expected.

230V, 50Hz, with Australian type I plugs. Bring an adapter.

Getting around
Brisbane’s buses, trains and ferries all take contactless bank cards. The CityCat ferry is the most pleasant way to move along the river and stops at Riverside, directly below the venue.
Health and emergencies
The emergency number in Australia is 000. Australia has reciprocal healthcare agreements with some countries, but travel insurance is strongly recommended regardless.
Safety
Brisbane is a safe city. Normal precautions apply.
Sun
Even in winter the Australian sun is strong. Sunscreen is worth packing.
